Following the rain levels of 10 inches as per the official records, the emergency services were deployed to make sure alternate escape routes for one and all could be chalked out. Swift water boats became the only mode of transportation that carried people from the water logged places down to safe sheltersThe officials of Williamson County had no official records for the total number of deaths caused due to the flood. Three killings were reported when their vehicles were stopped due to the flood way back at the Interstate 24 not far from the Bell Road. Leiper’s Fork also cited a death due to the heavy flood.Dover witnessed a similar killing due to the flood when a SUV went upset due to the flood. Jeremy Heidt, who happens to be the chief spokesman for the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency said that three nations have been issued request to supply with swift water boats to ease the rescue operations.
